Meet Kent Altsuler

For the 25 years Kent Altsuler worked as a trial lawyer, he always looked forward to mediation.  Mediation is a forum that empowers the advocate and the client alike.  Everyone involved with the matter is in the same room (or the same Zoom room), on the same day, focused on the same case.  During the mediation, there is a liberal flow of relevant communication.  Important decisions are made, whether they be legal or economic in nature.  After the mediation occurs, unfortunately, the attorney and the client lose some control over the outcome; after the mediation, the result is usually up to the judge, jury, or arbitration panel.

Kent trained as a mediator in 2011 at the University of Houston Law Center.  Since then, he has mediated approximately 1,000 cases.  Those cases have varied widely in size and type:  car wrecks, slip and falls, other types of personal injuries, breach-of-contract, coverage, real estate, etc.

He has been fortunate enough to mediate cases for some of the largest companies and insurance carriers in the United States.

Kent still looks forward to each and every mediation because it is a chance to solve a problem with creativity, end an ordeal with empathy, or save someone money with efficiency.
